WA: ACTU plans federal court action over BHP dispute

PERTH, Jan 20 AAP - Tensions at BHP's Pilbara picket lines eased marginally today as
the ACTU weighed into the contracts dispute, saying it would take federal court action
against the mining giant.

Striking unionists allowed non-unionised workers over picket lines at Port Hedland
and Newman after a Supreme Court ruling last night that they not hinder contract workers
at the BHP sites.
