Qld: Police questioning suspects over Aurukun stabbing death

BRISBANE, April 15 AAP - A man who staggered to a nearby hospital after he was stabbed
in the throat, died a short time later, police said today.

The 53-year-old man was stabbed at the Aurukun Aboriginal community on Cape Yore Peninsula
just before midnight on Friday.

He staggered 150m to the local hospital, but died soon after.

Detectives from Cairns were today questioning locals about the stabbing.

There were several suspects, a police spokesman said.
